The League

We're using a phpbb2 board.

There are numerous addons available if you have a suggestion from this list let me know and I'll do my best to incorporate it.

Ahhh, good old phpbb2. Man I remember hacking the PHP for this type of board back in the day to get it to work the way I wanted to.

I may have dig around and see what's new in the world of modules.

Love the board good choice since MFL is going to start purging the message boards from the previous years.

This forum is a great idea since we are dynasty that should last for years (one hopes).

It will also be good for tagging and bidding on tagged players as we can have a forum just for tagged players instead of it getting cluttered and lost.

Commish: Can you post the draft order and rookie salaries that you had on the old forum? I can't view the old forum anymore and it would be good to have it here anyway.

Is the date on our league page always going to be off for messages posted here? I mean my posts are recording in June over there! Hard to tell if I have replies sometimes.

The date on the league page is European/International format which is Day/Month/Year

So yesterday was 07/01/08

Of course us Americans are the only ones in the world that don't use that date format and instead go Month/Day/Year. 8)

I guess I never noticed that because we try to use that format in my company since we have offices in Europe and Asia.

You are now able to change the date format so its understandable to us americans.

I just noticed that if you click on each team's website link it takes you to their 2007 roster, so we'll need to update our links to our 2008 rosters.

Just change the year to 2008 and the league id (L=76273) from 76273 to 24863

I like the new skin on the MFL page. Nice job.

I have a few things for message board enhancements.

1. Is there a way to have the PM show up in an email. I get an email saying I have a PM but then I have to go to the board to get it. It just seems easier to me to get the PM in the email itself

2. Is there a way to have a link open up in a new window. I have not tried lately so you may have fixed that but a few weeks ago.

Last but not least, if you figure these things out, let me know so I can do it to my message board

To do this you can right click on the link and choose "open in new window" or similar option. Works in both IE and Firefox.

And just so you know, that's a built in function of the web browsers and will work on any web page. One thing about Windows, if you aren't sure what to do just right-click.
