Apologies up front for this basic question ...
Is there a way to subscribe to a particular forum on this message board so that I can get an e-mail notification when a new message is posted?
Specifically, I want to get a notification when a new message is posted in the "Announcement from the Commish" forum. Thanks.

I don't think there is. I tried to look around for that feature but so far no go. I'll be updating to the phpBB3 board sometime in the spring. I know for sure you can with that update. You can subscribe and even bookmark posts.

You can now subscribe to forums and threads with the new board. You can also bookmark them if you want.

OK now for the total noob question, how do I suscribe to a forum - I couldn't figure it out myself

OK I feeling really stupid now ... I saw the option to subscribe to a "thread", but I am still trying to figure out how I subscribe to a forum. Meaning anytime you add a new announcement to the "Announcements from the Commish" forum I would receive a notification.

Go t0 the announcements forum and on the very bottom their is the "subscribe forum" link. I think that is what you are looking for. Click that and you'll automatically be subscribed.

OK I see the "subscribe forum" link when I go to forums like "Franchise Tag", "Smack Talk", "Trading Block", etc., but I do not see that same link in the "Announcements from the Commish" forum. Am I missing a setting or something?

If you don't see it, I may have to adjust the forum permisions to allow you to subscribe.
